Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana weave these beautiful and durable baskets from thick, tough elephant grass. Bolga baskets stand up to use and abuse and remain functional and beautiful for years.

Meet the Artisans

This item is fairly made in Africa. Each artisan is able to work from the comfort of their own home and community. The fair payment they receive will not be reduced by traveling expenses, childcare costs, or haggled prices. The artisans use their earnings to put food on the table and pay educational expenses for their children.


Our products will have slight variations in design and size, this is a natural occurrence in handmade goods and one of the many reasons we love them so.

No two designs will be exactly alike, giving you a lasting one-of-a-kind product to treasure for years to come.

Storage that doubles as decor

I bought a pair of these lovely baskets and have used them in almost every room. They’re perfect for gathering shoes next to the door, extra towels in the bathroom, an overflow of toys in the living room. So useful and cute!

Beautiful Quality!

We love this basket, and it's a go-to for our team. The color tones are just right, and the size is perfect for bathroom styling (which is what we tend to use it for most).

I love this basket. It is squished for shipping but spray it with water and it is easily reshaped. It’s roomy and looks great!
